Stop Motion Vegan Big Mac 🍔

Big Mac, but make it stop motion 📸

FULL RECIPE

ingredients

1 package Impossible Foods or Beyond Meat ground, portioned into 4 patties

salt, pepper, and oil as specified in the preparation instructions

2/3 cup vegan mayo

2 heaping tablespoons ketchup

1 heaping tablespoon yellow mustard

1 tablespoon pickle juice

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon garlic and onion powder

shredded lettuce

pickle slices

1/2 small white onion, finely diced

vegan cheese slices of your choosing

sesame seed buns

preparation

in a small mixing bowl, combine the vegan mayo, ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, paprika, garlic + onion powder, and a few pinches of salt. whisk together and set aside. you can also prep your onion and get the remaining ingredients ready at this point.

season both sides of each burger patty with salt and pepper. heat a cast iron pan over medium to medium-high heat and allow to warm 2-3 minutes. add 2 tablespoons neutral cooking oil to the pan and allow to warm 20 seconds. lay the patties down in the pan and sear 3 to 5 minutes. flip to the other side, lay your vegan cheese slices atop each patty, then cover the pan with a lid and sear another 3 minutes.

remove the patties and serve upon the buns with all the fixings as shown in the video. to create 3-tiered big mac bun, take a few the burger bun tops and slice the very top edge off with a knife - this creates the middle bun. serve up, dig in, and enjoy.
